The development of mechanized agriculture has brought many new features to today's agricultural vehicles. Generally intended to improve productivity and user satisfaction, poor implementation of these features without due consideration of operator requirements and/or limitations can have negative consequences. In order to ensure a successful outcome it is important to understand both the physical and cognitive ergonomics of the system. By understanding these aspects, designs can be optimized for the best outcome in productivity, operator comfort, and satisfaction. (Download PDF) (Export to EndNotes)
