First paragraph: The development of new techniques by research facilities and of new machinery by the industries is the driving force for the transfer of technology (TT). TT is a current problem for both industrialized and nonindustrialized countries worldwide. In the first case, the rate of TT is vital for sustainable development of economics and for progress in economic competition. As for nonindustrialized countries, TT is necessary for beneficial use of existing techniques, their application in agriculture, and their adaption to socioeconomic conditions.
