In recent years, huanglongbing (HLB) or citrus greening has greatly affected the citrus farms in Florida. It is one of the most devastating diseases that can cause significant economic and production losses to the citrus industry. Early and accurate detection of citrus greening can enable immediate application of suitable management practices to control the spread of the disease. Therefore, the present work focuses on the application of infrared spectroscopy-based technique for the early detection of greening in citrus plantations.
