ABSTRACT WATER application, distribution uniformity, irrigation water use, and management efficiency were measured on 20 private lawns in Logan, Utah. Lawn quality was evaluated weekly. Results of distribution uniformity for hand-move and solid-set sprinkler systems were compared. Relationships between quality of lawn and distribution uniformity were investigated. Irrigation water actually used was compared with estimated evapotranspiration as a guide to better water management.
