DETERMINATION OF DYNAMIC PARAMETERS OF AGRICULTURAL TRACTOR CAB MOUNT SYSTEM BY A MODIFIED DSIMPublished by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, St. Joseph, Michigan www.asabe.org Citation: Transactions of the ASAE. 43(6): 1365-1369. (doi: 10.13031/2013.3033) @2000Authors: J. S. Cho, K. U. Kim, H. J. Park Keywords: Direct system identification, Cab mount, Dynamic parameter, Agricultural tractor The objective of this study was to determine the inertia, damping, and stiffness properties of the cab mounts of agricultural tractors by using the direct system identification method (DSIM). Since the frequency separation of rigid and elastic modes of the cab mount system is not usually distinct, direct application of the DSIM may result in a large computation error. To solve such a problem, a method of locating the mass center of the cab prior to the application of the DSIM is proposed. The coordinates of the mass center of the cab were determined by assuming the cab behaves as a rigid body. The dynamic parameters of the cab mount system were then determined by applying the DSIM with the known coordinates of the mass center. The constraints of spatial matrices of the cab mount system also led to a better algorithm for the DSIM. Values of the dynamic parameters determined by this method agreed well with those determined by the experiment. (Download PDF) (Export to EndNotes)
