Through AgrAbility of Wisconsin and Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, assistance was provided to a Wisconsin dairy producer which increased her productivity in the workplace. This case study is about a producer who had mobility limitations, limited use of her left arm, and above normal sensitivity to temperature. The tasks completed by the farmer included milking cows, feeding calves and moving feed to the cows. Assistive technology recommended to and acquired by the producer included utility vehicle and milking parlor with automatic take-offs, floor mats, indirect heating and remotely controlled crowd gate. The producer was able to complete these tasks with greater ease and became more productive on the dairy farm.
