A spray drift model for assessment of ground deposits from boom sprayers

A pesticide spray drift model, which was developed in the UK to assist with the regulatory assessment of exposure to drift from boom sprayers at short scales,(<20 m) has been further extended in order to explore the possibility of it being used in the USA for the prediction of ground or surface water deposits at greater distances, up to 200 m. The model was tested against some of the Spray Drift Task Force data and a sensitivity analysis was undertaken to establish the model parameters to which predictions are sensitive.
