The entire exercise of business activities are usually evaluated on the basis of their quest for profitability and productivity. However, when it comes to the waste, the dominated factor in the refuse of our daily use becomes questionable; which is in fact composed of the papers and the plastics material and hence needs a lot of attention from social, environmental and economic point of view, which are the pillars of sustainability. In our day to day conversations, we almost always focus on disposal. This is an alarming fact that our cities have millions of bags to dispose of, causing a huge problem of disposal. Therefore, concurrence is very important between the reverse logistic and life cycle assessment of the product which should begins long before disposal. The best way to measure the impact is through a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) which includes the aspects of the material used, ease of disassembly and most importantly to organize the collection after the use. It includes the measure like collection from the consumer door by community, collection by the local retailer, or the customer itself brings to the facility for disposal. Likewise, a sack of single use carrier bags made of paper or plastic: which one is preferable from sustainability point of view?-a strategic and dynamic life cycle assessment of the single use paper Sacs bag is discussed for comparison with plastic bag which gives the picture of the reverse logistic aspect of the product. This also opens our attention towards the fact that how the legislation and reduced cost measures and the market all together helps to shape the strategy for the end of life in to incinerator or in the landfills; at the preliminary design stage of the new product design.
