A study was conducted in October 2007 to February 2008 at the Isabela State University watershed experimental station at Echague, Isabela. The aim was to evaluate the performance and adaptability of the Water Erosion Prediction Project (WEPP) model in the Philippines, particularly in Cagayan Valley in estimating rate of soil erosion under corn and rice management and to determine the expected surface run-off that could be collected in small water harvesting systems.
