Tractor rollovers occur worldwide, in both agricultural and non-agricultural settings. Fatalities from such rollovers can be prevented through the use of rollover protective structures (ROPS), along with seatbelts. ROPS, when used in conjunction with seatbelts, have proven to be nearly 100% effective in preventing an overturn from becoming a fatal event for the tractor operator. In addition, the costs associated with returning the overturned equipment to service are greatly reduced.
