CCFARM is a computer program for simulating cow-calf herd dynamics over a long time horizon. One difficulty for most research-oriented simulation systems is its output interface which is written to be used by the researcher and not by ranchers. The PCRANCH software package addresses this problem by decoupling CCFARM from its research-oriented output interface and coupling it with a friendlier rancher-oriented output interface using the VBA (Visual Basic for Application) utility of Microsoft Excel program. This approach allows creation of on-demand outputs using the chart wizard of the Excel program.
