AN improved tractor performance monitor was designed and built using an AIM65 microcomputer. Improvements consisted of a 160 character LCD display for daylight conditions, a digital mini-cassette tape recorder, a 12 bit-8 differential channel analog to digital converter, and 36-one bit digital channels. Changes in the microcomputer resident software were made to allow interfacing of the improvements. Programming can be done in machine language as well as BASIC. The tractor performance monitor operates reliably and can be used as a general data logger.
