The first half of this chapter deals with the fundamentals of electricity, semi-conductors, and electromagnetism as they apply to mobile vehicles. It will be necessary for you to study these fundamentals to understand how they can be applied to the analysis of charging, starting, and accessory circuits in the latter half of this chapter. Some of the fundamentals will also be applied in the study of ignition circuits in Chapter 8.
