Abstract The security of water quality supervising sensor networks is the key factor. To ensure the security of the networks, a trusting architecture is designed based on isolation of trouble nodes for sensor networks by sinks. And a trust routing protocol is proposed for the architecture (TRP-WQSN). It selects the trusted paths without any trouble nodes, and routes using the modified geographic routing. A suit of algorithms are designed for routing, building trust table and isolating trouble node. Simulations show that the scheme can be used easily in the data-centric model for energy-constrained water quality sensor networks; the scheme distinctly increases the throughput and the lifetime of a sensor network, while the effect of route infection in geographic routing is alleviated.(Download PDF) (Export to EndNotes)
