There are about 15Mhm2 irrigated crop land producing wheat and maize two crops a year in center of China. Adoption of conservation tillage in the area has outstanding resource, environmental and economy benefits. However, no-till seeding wheat in maize residue field was very difficult, due to maize yield very high, roots very tough as well wheat row space narrow. Some foreign wheat no-till seeders have strong anti-blockage ability, but they are heavy (765-1130kg/m) and expensive. From 1997, we started lighter and cheaper wheat no-till seeder development. Through 10 year efforts, 3 kinds of anti-blockage devices and 2 kinds of openers created, using these devices, 3 kinds of wheat no-till seeders have been developed, they are: Strip rotary hoe min-till seeder, Strip chop no-till seeder, Oblique driven disc no-till seeder. The unit weight of 3 no-till wheat seeders is 316-500kg/m, can match with the left force 500-650kg/m of Chinese middle size tractor, and the price only 10-15% of foreign no-till wheat seeders. At end of 2006, the double cropping CT system has been extended to 420,000 hm2 , increased wheat yield 5.5% and maize yield 7.2%, operation cost reduce 20% more. Besides, save fuel consumption 20-30%, reducing irrigation water 10-15%.Keywords. Leave the word "Keywords." then type keywords or key phrases, separated by commas.
