Psychosocial Work Environment among Swedish Livestock WorkersPublished by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, St. Joseph, Michigan www.asabe.org Citation: Sixth International Dairy Housing Conference Proceeding, 16-18 June 2007, (Minneapolis, Minnesota) (Electronic Only) 701P0507e.(doi:10.13031/2013.22797)Authors: Christina Kolstrup Keywords: Psychosocial work environment, farm workers, dairy farming, pig farming, questionnaire The number of farms in Sweden continues to decrease at the same time as the size of the farms and herds increases. This expansion often implies the farmers have to employ workers and it is difficult to recruit qualified people to work at livestock farms. One of several possible explanations of the difficulty to recruit employees might be an unsatisfying work environment. The purpose of the study was to elucidate the psychosocial work environment and its impact on livestock workers well-being. (Download PDF) (Export to EndNotes)
