Odour, greenhouse gas and ammonia emissions can have a significant effect on the environment and be a nuisance to neighbours. Beneficial management practices such as injection, incorporation or pre-treatment of the manure may help reduce emissions of one type of gaseous emissions but may sometimes result in conditions that increase other types of emissions.
