Sunn pest has been recognized as a serious pest of wheat and barley throughout the Near and Middle East and much of the former USSR, for more than 70 years. So a decision support system was developed to assist farmers and extension agents to control this pest. The system consists of sunn pest identification tool and strategic scenario planning to manage it economically or sustainably on a national scale. This system can provide advice based on important factors such as climatic situations, biology and population dynamics of pest, sampling techniques and wheat cultivars. Economical recommendations can be made on the base of economic injury level, wheat price, expected yield and pesticide cost. Finally, system will provide advices on the base of biological or chemical control and assist to manage pest during next years.
