NaturNet-Redime develops educational programmes towards implementing the European Unions Strategy for Sustainable Development (SSD). The prototype technology produced demonstrates the utility of our approach for developing educational programmes that increases understanding of sustainable development and the tools used to make decisions that affect sustainable development. Example content stresses awareness of environmental, economic, and social factors. As recognized by the SSD, this increased understanding will allow more informed and equitable decisions to be made by increasing public involvement in the decision-making process. All educational; materials of the project will be available via the NaturNet-Redime web portal, where users will find appropriate learning objects to lead them through the learning process. Interaction with end users throughout the project provides feedback to the project partners to ensure that the tools are optimised.
