The Danish Agricultural Advisory Service (DAAS) consists of 51 local advisory centres and a national centre. So far, each centre has had its own website, and the National Centre has also had a website of its own. However, this has obviously not been an optimal solution, since the main content on the websites is the same type of information, which means that at a given time, users will often get exactly the same information regardless of which website he visits. Since late 2003, Danish Agricultural Advisory Service has been working intensively on constructing a common platform which consists of two main parts a common user database, and a common content management system. The common user database has been created by combining the information already stored in the user databases of the local centres. Information from these databases, which are stored in Navision, has been extracted into a national user database stored in Microsoft Active Directory. To create and maintain their own websites, while at the same time gaining the benefits of a common content management system, a content management system based on Microsoft Content Manager Server has been developed. In April 2005, the first centres launched their new websites.

This paper describes the construction of the platform, provides a current status and elaborates on the future.
