This paper introduces the advances in study of the finger flow, on the basis of which it has been proved through in –lab tests that the finger flow occurs in the case of layered soil in the loess Regions. Also, the effect of the process of the finger flow occurrence is analyzed with soil texture and hydraulic conductivity as the indexes. Research results are of significance to the further research of preferential flow in the loess Regions.
