Lateral buckling loads for cantilevered and simply supported composite wood I-joists were measured over a wide range of bending slenderness ratios. The same buckling loads were then predicted using three previously published lateral stability models. A recommendation is made for the best model for predicting the lateral buckling loads for composite wood I-joists for bending slenderness ratios between 0 and 50.
