Status quo of research on various pile driver systems for preventing flood and rushing to deal with an emergency was described, and a new type of pile driver system, named spiral pile driver system for preventing flood and rushing to deal with an emergency was put forward and developed. The spiral pile driver system is made up of a spiral pile driver and a spiral pile and can be used without causing the problems which the pile driver system causes. In the developing process of the spiral pile driver system, one of key technologies is the design of the spiral pile. The structure and basic parameters of the spiral pile were primarily determined according to its purposes. The spiral pile is made up of a thin steel spiral lamina, a thin steel tube and a thin taper-face tube through weld. Considering that weld distortions would increase the friction between the spiral pile and soil, the author simulated the weld process using the FEA software ANSYS on the basis of FEA theories. The simulation process adopts a direct thermal-structure coupled-field method and the technology of birth and death of the element. The result of the weld simulation shows the maximal distortion of the spiral pile is 1.65mm, which affects the structure slightly.
