Heated reactors using biogas and waste heat sources for heating reduce costs. Heating with hot combustion gases can reduce operational and capital outlays further. In this study, combustion flue gas characteristics from a low cost combustion unit are evaluated. Propane, methane and biogas were used at different pressures and flow rates. Fuel flow and pressures were related to combustion air requirements. A low cost combustion unit and air blower provided reactor direct contact heating and mixing.
