There are many 303(d) impaired streams in the ridge and valley area of East Tennessee. We are currently monitoring water quality in four streams in this region, and would like to use our data to assist in the development of watershed restoration plans. In this study we evaluate the potential for using a load duration curve (LDC) tool in our region, considering the great lack of flow and water quality data. We conclude that developing and using a regionally-based flow duration curve is adequate to develop LDCs for our streams.
