Reliability test on water quality and distribution network of two selected dams in Ondo state were investigated Owena River Dam and the Federal College of Agriculture Dam were used as a case studies. It was established that water requirement for agriculture, domestic and livestock in the study area amount to 72millio cubic meters for year 2000 and 137million cubic meters for the year 2030. The guideline values for hardness at 500mg/litre as (CaCo3) was based on taste and household consideration. At pH 7.0 and below, hydrogen sulphide predominates, dissociated into odorless ions in more alkaline. Coliform organism was not detectable in 95% of the routine samples examined.
