Among the fully developed hydrologic and nonpoint source pollution models having all the three major components: hydrology, sediment, and chemical, SWAT was found to be a promising model for long-term continuous simulations in predominantly agricultural watersheds and HSPF for mixed agricultural and urban watersheds. DWSM was found to be a promising storm event simulation model for agricultural watersheds. These models were investigated further. Many applications of these models, found and available in the literature, were reviewed and compiled.
