Among those at risk of being involved in a power take-off related incident are children and adolescents. Presented in this paper is a preliminary assessment of the scope and severity of PTO-related injuries involving children and adolescents through a literature review and an analysis of 92 documented PTO-related incidents involving children and adolescents less than 18 years of age from 1970 to 2002. The analysis allowed several observations to be made about these PTO-related injuries.
