An equine center was designed and constructed to support the equine teaching program at the Ohio State University's Agricultural Technical Institute. The facilities consist of an enclosed 90 x 200 riding arena; stables with 46 stalls, breeding area, tack room and wash stalls; a support core with restrooms, office, workroom and mechanical room; an outside arena, and paddocks. Good animal environment efficient animal handling, teaching requirements, site environmental needs, and building codes were critical in the design decisions.
