This research had the purpose of evaluating the groundwater quality in order to verify, through geostatistical tools, its spatial dependence aiming to propose an adequate methodology for definition of sample collecting points. The CE, pH and RAS of groundwater samples from the So Gonalo Irrigation District, located in the Souza municipality, Paraba state, Brazil, were determined in the Irrigation and Salinity Laboratory of the Campina Grande Federal University. Regarding the aspect of spatial dependence, the spherical model was the one that promoted the best fitting to the semivariograms for the studied variables, presenting a nugget effect of 0,0291, 100 mhos cm-1 at 25C and 0,41, respectively, for pH, CE and RAS. The percentage relations between the nugget effect (Co) and the landing (Co+C) were 6.92, 0.23 and 524%, respectively, for pH, CE and RAS, which characterize a strong spatial dependence in the studied area for these parameters. It was observed that the studied parameters presented non-uniformity along the area, presenting lower values at the beginning of the area, with pick of 6 for RAS, and in the remaining area higher values with tendency of uniformity.
