Virtual Instrument System for Fogger Performance Measurement

A fogger performance determination system was designed and developed based on the virtual instrument technology. The system used PC and DAQ board as the hardware platform, and used the LabVIEW program as the software platform. Aimed at that the LabVIEW could only drive the specific DAQ boards provided by the National Instruments Company, the paper accomplished successfully the way that the system could drive other data acquisition boards by using the dynamic link library technology. The modularization method was applied in the whole system design. The developed system had nine modules, including menu module, channel selection module, data acquisition module, calibration module, master control module, analysis module, save module, read module, and print module. The system could analyze data in the time domain and the frequency domain, which will conveniently provide the fundamental references for the development of new type pulse foggers and the further improvement of functional reliability of pulse foggers.
