Application of anhydrous ammonia fertilizer across the width of applicators is known to be uneven.
One of the difficulties in working with anhydrous application equipment is that the anhydrous flowing through
the system is typically a two-phase (gas and liquid) fluid. Mass flow rate metering and measurement of twophase
flow is difficult, and most flow meters are rated for flow of liquids or gases, not two-phase flow.
