The results of a citrus producer survey regarding adoption trends and attitudes towards precision agriculture are reported. The objective was to identify demographic characteristics of adopters versus non-adopters, and determine from questionnaire responses if there were other factors that influenced the decision to adopt precision agriculture technologies. Citrus growers from the top 10 counties in Florida were questioned regarding current and future practices.

The results from 161 survey questionnaires (13.7 % response rate) showed a slow trend in citrus producers adopting precision farming technologies. Results indicated a large percentage of citrus growers were satisfied with current practices, and there was no need to change at this time.
