The development of efficient filters for the cleaning of exhaust air is enforced by several enterprises. The use of non-thermal-plasma, NTP, technology is an innovative approach to air cleaning. In comparison to other ionizing technologies the energy efficiency is high. Within the research project described here the potential of NTP technology for the reduction of emissions of stables shall be investigated. In this paper the basic principle of the system is explained. Furthermore the research project is presented, and preliminary results of experiments in a laboratory are given.
