ROOT EFFICIENCY OF THE ‘RANGPUR’ LIME ROOTSTOCK UNDER LOCALIZED IRRIGATION AND FERTIGATION

The present work was accomplished in the Experimental Area of Irrigation and Drainage of the Department of Rural Engineering of ESALQ/USP (Fazenda Areo), Piracicaba - SP, in an orchard in production of Tahiti lime over rangpur lime rootstock. The research work had as objective to study the adaptation of the root system of adult plants of Tahiti lime, grafted over lemon Cravo rootstock, simulating the localized irrigation and as a function of three fertilizing solutions: the first (T1) with pure water (control), the second (T2) with a simple nutritive solution (N, P, K) and the third with a complete nutritive solution (N, P, K, Ca, Zn and B). The average relative increments obtained by the treatments complete in relation to the simple treatment along the evaluated months were calculated, being observed an oscillation in the results of the plant 1, where the average of the results were 7% higher than the simple treatment for the plant 1. The results of the plant 2 showed an absorption increment of 17%.
