With the objective of studying the effect of water depths and nitrogen doses applied to irrigated Tanzania grass on the dry matter and forage quality, it was set an experiment based on a split-split-plot delineation model, where in the plots the irrigation depths were distributed (0, 30, 70,100 and 150%CC), in the split-plot the nitrogen levels (0, 100, 275, 756 and 2079 kg N/ha/year) and in the split-split the three seasons (summer, winter and spring). The greatest irrigation level provided negative effects on the production of dry matter while the lowest showed no effected due to natural rainfall (outdoor experiment). Nitrogen doses superior to 756 Kg N/ha.year, didn't provide better growing effects on dry matter production, being the accumulated dry matter increments in all harvest times studied of 15, 19, 29 and 20% higher than control plots, when using nitrogen levels of 100, 275, 756 and 1.769 N kg /ha.year.
