Cable Concrete chutes are used to stabilize grade and control erosion in natural and constructed channels. They have surfaced as a cost effective solution to prevent the formation and advance of gullies where storm runoff must be dropped from about 4 to 12 feet. This paper summarizes the design, construction, and performance experience by the USDA-NRCS in Minnesota.
