Two pulse radar systems were investigated on their suitability for measuring crop yields. For this task a laboratory test rig was developed. Tests were carried out with grass, hay, chopped maize and oats in a laboratory. Calibration lines could be determined with coefficients of determination of up to 99 %. The detected average deviations between the actual and the measured masses ranged from 5 % up to 10 % and above.
