This work presents an analysis of a wheat seed cylindrical dryer, in use at EMBRAPA (Brazilian Enterprise for Agricultural Research). The experimental tests involved three different drying air temperatures. The simulation model consists of a modified Darcy's equation, mass and energy conservation equations for humid air and grain bed and a thin-layer equation. Finite element and finite difference techniques were used to solve the governing equations. Experimental data and numerical results were compared and the results show that the model is appropriate to simulate drying process of wheat seeds in a cylindrical dryer.
