New dry farming mode and water-saving approach bas ed on the result of implementing dry farming agricultural practice in Leizhou Peninsula, Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province have been proposed, Combining the settlement of water resource with the improving of the water utilization efficiency; developing agriculture and biologic water-saving technology; breeding by selection of new anti-drought varieties; enhancing the water storage capability of soil by strengthening the water-keeping tillage measurement; increasing the content of organic material and achieving the improvement of water storage in the soil by applying more organic fertilizer; and prevent the soil from shallowing, sandying and barrening.
