An easily usable tool is presented (Excell, Visual Basic). It can be adapted to every network, considering their especial characteristics including restrictions (demand randomness, different irrigation timing, crops, etc.).

Methods for defining the maximum and minimum consign curves in the network have been developed. Both methods can be used for dimensioning the pumping plant, its regulation and control. Once it has been inserted in the PID (Proportional, Integral and Derivative) module of a programmable automaton. This controls the operating of different pumps, with variable or constant speed, with the objective of minimising energy consumption.
