The management of animal manures has become one of the most important issues for animal
agriculture in the U.S. Therefore it is vital that the Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension
Service (CSREES), through the Land Grant System of institutions, be at the forefront of conducting research
and disseminating the knowledge to producers and agencies involved with this topic. The Land Grant System
of institutions is located in each state and territory.
