The paper presents a methodology of utilization of the numerical maps for generation process of technical documentation. Methods of linking of databases and CAD system were described and illustrated. The technical documentation of chosen units of the combine harvester was selected as the example. There were used tools: relational database MS ACCESS and Microstation95 system. Utilization of the described method lets for directly linking files and constructional documentation information, which the last one contains features of various technical objects as for example standardize requirements for safety.
