Integrated DSS of Web-GIS and Online Watershed Delineation for Hydrologic Impact EvaluationPublished by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, St. Joseph, Michigan www.asabe.org Citation: Paper number 023038, 2002 ASAE Annual Meeting . (doi: 10.13031/2013.10561) @2002Authors: Jin-Yong Choi, Bernard A. Engel, Jon Harbor Keywords: Decision Support System, Web-GIS, Hydrologic Model, Watershed Delineation A web-based decision support system (DSS) was developed to assist watershed hydrologic/water quality assessment for present and future land uses. The DSS was comprised of an integration of webbased programs, a hydrologic model, GIS and databases. The integrated DSS uses web-GIS capability for Internet map browsing, online web-based watershed delineation and hydrologic spatial data extraction for Long-Term Hydrologic Impact Assessment (L-THIA) application. Although watershed management includes complicated steps and the online DSS has restrictions due to the web environment, this web-based DSS system still has potential applicability in assisting with watershed management decisions.
