The Evaluation of Electrohydraulic Steering Control AlgorithmPublished by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, St. Joseph, Michigan www.asabe.org Citation: Paper number 023108, 2002 ASAE Annual Meeting . (doi: 10.13031/2013.10458) @2002Authors: Zhilin Dong, Qin Zhang Keywords: Electrohydraulic steering control, Non-linear compensation method Hydraulic steering system is widely used in off-road vehicles. In design of electrohydraulic steering controller, two aspects should be considered. One is the design of suitable control algorithm; another is the non-linear compensation for the electrohydraulic valve. This paper evaluates the test results using different control algorithms and a non-linear compensation algorithm on a John Deere 8200 tractor. The control algorithms include Proportional, Proportional-Integral and Proportional- Integral-Differential controls, and the compensation method is a mapping compensation method. Based on the evaluation results, the suitable control method for electrohydraulic steering was concluded. (Download PDF) (Export to EndNotes)
