The extensive decay caused by anthropic activities along the Apulian coast requires
urgent recovery and re-qualification actions on the landscape.
This study was carried out on a sample area coinciding with the western coast of the town of
Bisceglie. Its aim was to test a methodology of intervention to be extended at provincial and regional
level.
For the purpose of data interpretation, a division into layers was performed including: houses and
facilities, greenery and the settling system.
The devised project defines the various frameworks of action: the coastal system, the housing and
facility system, the green system. As a whole, the project embodies and overlaps, in an organic and
correlated manner, the three project systems all meant at re-qualifying the area through facilities
reorganization and improvement for a more effective tourist exploitation.
