Distribution Quality of Pesticide Spraying Based on DGPS TechnologyPublished by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, St. Joseph, Michigan www.asabe.org Citation: Paper number 021158, 2002 ASAE Annual Meeting . (doi: 10.13031/2013.10380) @2002Authors: Tiansheng HONG, Gui’en WANG, Xiwen LUO Keywords: Precision sprinkling irrigation, Water-saving agriculture, Single chip microcomputer controlling system, Precision agriculture The precision sprinkling irrigation system controlled by a single chip microcomputer was studied, designed and developed. In the control system, the single chip microcomputer controlled a stepping motor that brought a single nozzle to rotate. Meanwhile, the microcomputer controlled a transducer to change the rotating speed of the pump motor, which adjusted the exit fluid velocity of the nozzle to reach certain sprinkling distance. The system could sprinkle water accurately on each operational unit in a region with stated shape. The main concern of this study is to adjust the water-sprinkling volume of each operational unit in a sprinkled field. The experiment result indicated that the control system could adjust the water-sprinkling volume and sprinkle a simple shape. (Download PDF) (Export to EndNotes)
