This paper is intended to be a narrative based on experiences derived from working in an environment that provides and nurtures an interdisciplinary team approach to trouble shooting problems encountered on many diverse farms and pork production systems encountered in Missouri. This paper will not present any summary statistics that may be available from survey type date. However, this paper is presented as a realistic view of the opportunities that are available to Engineers and Veterinarians that recognize the strengths of each other’s professions and the opportunities that may be available to all professionals.
