Safety Detecting System with Ultrasonic Sensors for Agricultural Machine

In this paper, a safety detecting system with ultrasonic sensors was developed, which was used in detecting a moving object around an agricultural machine. The system consisted of two ultrasonic sensors and a computer DAQ system. Based on the measured distances using two ultrasonic sensors, an object detecting algorithm was developed for determining the position of the moving object. The validation test results indicated that the safety detecting system could detect the position of the moving object related to an agricultural machine.
