Soil matrix enriched with gravels, cobbles, or boulders can often be found on slope lands in Taiwan. Such soil matrix covers 40% of Taiwan land area where various agricultural activities as well as suburban development have concentrated on for more than half a century. However, limited researches have documented the runoff coefficient generated from gravel-rich slopes. Therefore, the objective of this study is to experimentally determine the runoff coefficient generated from gravel-rich slope. External factors as well as the associated effects affecting runoff coefficient are discussed in this study.
